Score 93/100 · Drink 2025-2055, Neal Martin, Nov 2022

The 2018 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru shows some volatility on the nose that masks much in the way of terroir expression. The palate is well balanced with a saline entry. Sour lemon mixes with orange zest, moderate depth and fine cohesion. This is missing some complexity considering its status on the bitter, almost nutty finish. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2018 white tasting.
