Score 88/100 · Drink 1997-2004, Robert Parker, Feb 1997

An impressive effort for the vintage, L'Arrosee's 1993 possesses a medium dark ruby color, a complex, Burgundian-like nose of jammy cherry fruit, sweet, smoky, toasty oak, as well as a touch of cedar. This medium-bodied wine reveals a sweet expansiveness reminiscent of a top class Burgundy. It offers a silky, velvety texture, and admirable complexity and elegance. Drink this evolved, well-made 1993 over the next 5-7 years.
