Score 87-89/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jan 2011

(13.5% alcohol with a pH of 3.4) Good deep red. Lively raspberry and mineral aromas are further lifted by a citrus suggestion. Sweet and velvety, with a hint of chocolatey ripeness but kept fresh by well-integrated acidity. Very rich wine, finishing with a bit of warmth. These vines are planted at an altitude of 300 meters on very shallow soil.
