2021 Morey St Denis Aux Charmes

The 2021 Morey-Saint-Denis Aux Charmes 1er Cru, which includes 70% whole bunches, veers more toward the red fruit spectrum amongst Virgile Lignier's range. On the nose, there are raspberry and wild strawberry notes. The palate is medium-bodied and rather smooth, with veins of dark chocolate underneath the red fruit. The 2021 is elegant in style, though straightforward, and as such, probably a cuvée more for early drinking.
