While not from the Rhône Valley, I was able to taste the 2016 Languedoc during my visit with Rostaing and it’s a terrific blend of Syrah and Grenache brought up in tank. This deeply colored red offers plenty of earthy dark fruits and peppery herbs as well as medium body, sweet tannins, and a good finish. It’s going to drink nicely for 4-6 years.
