Score 93/100 · Drink 1997-2007, Robert Parker, Oct 1997

Chapoutier's 1995 Banyuls is a good value in sweet wine. It is a fruity, non-oxidized style of Banyuls with tons of chocolatey black cherry fruit, moderate sweetness, medium to full body, outstanding purity, and real vibrancy and freshness, something not usually associated with Banyuls. This wine will drink impeccably with chocolate desserts. It should last for a decade or more.
