Tasting notes
The 2021 Morey-Saint-Denis Les Millandes 1er Cru has impressive definition on the nose with blackberry, raspberry and crushed limestone. The palate is very well balanced with quite saturated tannins, fine-boned and finessed with a touch of kirsch and blood orange on the finish. Excellent.

The 2021 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Les Millandes is very pretty, bursting with notes of sweet plums, red berries, raw cocoa and spices. Medium-bodied, supple and melting, with a fragrant core of fruit, lively acids and a saline finish, it will drink well on release.
Hints of green tea and earth can be discerned on the elegant and airy aromas of various red berries and dried floral wisps. There is again a lovely texture to the lighter weight flavors that possess excellent underlying tension before culminating in a dusty, moderately austere and sneaky long finish. This slightly raspy effort should benefit from a few years of keeping to round off the tannins and reward a decade plus.
