Score 91-93/100 · Drink 2021-2035, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2017

The 2016 Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru La Toppe au Vert offers vivid red cherries and black plums on the nose, quite focused yet maintaining refinement and poise. Blue fruits enter the fray with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, a little ferrous at first, fine grip in the mouth with chalky tannins on the finish that feels long and satisfying. This is a worthy follow-up to the superb 2015.
