Score 89/100 · Drink 2027-2032, Allen Meadows, Burghound
A subtle but not imperceptible touch of wood sets off the moderately high-toned essence of wild red cherry, green tea and lavender gives way to nicely voluminous medium weight flavors that possess a satisfying richness, all wrapped in a dusty and lingering if not especially complex finale. More depth will undoubtedly develop but I doubt that this will ever be truly distinguished.

About the producer

Domaine Tortochot
Situated in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin, Domaine Tortochot may not carry the cachet of the very top domaines in the village, but it does offer some of the best value, producing wines with great terroir transparency in their top Premiers and Grands Crus, and fabulous village wines.
