Tasting notes
The 2020 Morey-Saint-Denis Cuvée des Alouettes 1er Cru has a perfumed bouquet with impressive purity, black cherries mixed with cassis and crushed stone. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, lightly spiced with gentle grip. Fine salinity here, this has the structure that you expect from a Morey. Give it 3-5 years in bottle.

Aromas of cherries, wild berries, baking spices and smoked meats preface the 2020 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Cuvée des Alouettes, a medium to full-bodied, concentrated and vibrant wine that's still distinctly primary after 13 months' élevage. It's a promising wine that will reward patience, and it's a worthy follow-up to the terrific 2019.
