A little more intense on the nose than the Marsannay Blanc and richer on the palate, fresh with citrus but more creamy. Lifted, fresh finish. (JH)

The 2017 Morey-Saint-Denis En La Rue Vergy offers tightly wound red cherry and crushed strawberry fruit; hints of blueberry come through with aeration. The finely balanced palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin and good substance toward the earthy finish. Hints of tobacco linger on the aftertaste. Excellent.
