Tasting notes
Good dark red. Strong smoky minerality and raspberry on the nose. Sweet, supple, wild red fruit flavors don't show quite the precision or class of the Baudes but possess good stuffing and tannic spine. Menthol and herb notes accent the finish.

A lovely, fresh and relatively airy nose features notes of red berries, discreet earth and spice elements along with a hint of earth. The rich and nicely vibrant middle weight flavors retain a good sense of vibrancy along with fine delineation on the ever-so-mildly austere finale where a hint of salinity appears. This is a lovely wine that invites another sip with each swallow. (Drink starting 2021)
The 2013 Morey St Denis la Riotte was showing just a little reduction on the nose when I tasted it from barrel. The palate is tense with a fine citric core: very tense but quite pointed towards the finish. Fine, but this is the one cru that might have just been underrepresented by its barrel showing. Let's see once in bottle.
