Tasting notes
The 2013 Barbaresco by La Ca' Növa shows a sweet side with ripe fruit and dried cherry. Spice and cinnamon follow in quick succession, giving the wine a bigger sense of intensity and volume. This is a mid-weight effort with pretty luminosity and Nebbiolo brightness.

A rich, potent wine, the 2013 Barbaresco hits the palate with serious depth and intensity. The flavors are intense and dark, almost to the point of being unctuous. Sweet black cherry, plum, spice, scorched earth, mocha and new leather infuse the brooding, virile finish. The 2013 has enough depth to drink well for a number of years, although the tannins need time to settle down. The 2013 is a truly superb, entry-level Barbaresco from Marco Rocca and La Ca' Nova.
