2019 Riesling Vinothek Smaragd

Predominantly from the Loibenberg, the 2019 Loibner Riesling Smaragd Vinothekfüllung is very intense but clear and mineral on the rich, terroir-driven and herbal nose. Rich and intense but still elegant and refined on the palate, this is a salty, finessed and sustainable Riesling with well-dosed power. This is a picture-book Smaragd and a wine that needs to be cellared for a decade, although it already tastes dangerously good. Tasted at the domaine in June 2021.
