Tasting notes
From the southeast-facing part of the cru, the 2019 Ried Kellerberg Dürnsteiner Riesling Smaragd opens with a deep, pure, intense and complex nose with perfectly ripe, slightly caramelized fruit intertwined with finely mineral and herbal notes. Full-bodied and intense yet crystalline on the palate, this is a rich but refined and elegant, very mineral, fresh, piquant and nuanced Riesling of great class and style. A wine to keep for at last another 5-6 years. Tasted at the domaine in June 2021.

Very complex nose of Amalfi lemons, yellow grapefruit and wild herbs. Then, a very concentrated but super focused palate that is extremely bright. So minerally at the finish, which adds a sense of austerity. Enormous aging potential. Drink or hold.
