I found the 2005 Languedoc Clos Syrah Leone to have a herbaceous touch, yet it still offers lots of charm. Cracked pepper, juicy meats, and smoked black fruits all emerge here, and it’s medium to full-bodied, focused and clean on the palate, with terrific length. This cuvee comes all from clay and limestone soils, and is primarily Syrah, with a splash of Mourvèdre.
