Tasting notes
This is very distinctive, with sliced oranges and spices, turning to forest-floor fruit and mushrooms. Some rose hips, rose stems and hibiscus, too. Medium to full body. Candied oranges and sweet berries. Flavorful finish with blue fruit. Drink or hold.

The 2019 Pinot Noir Radian is stunning. Dark and explosive in the glass, the 2019 possesses tremendous depth from start to finish. Blue fruit, lavender, spice and menthol build in a Pinot of remarkable gravitas and personality. I suppose it is hardly a surprise, but The Hilt's Radian Pinot is the perfect embodiment of what this site has to offer, namely power, volume and an intensely dark fruit profile. Superb.
In the same realm, the 2019 Pinot Noir Radian Vineyard offers more red and blue fruits (black raspberries, cherries, blueberries) as well as ample minerality and graphite. It too is medium-bodied, utterly seamless, flawlessly balanced, and concentrated. As with all of these 2019s from Dees, it has slightly more texture and suppleness than past vintages and is going to drink nicely for a decade.
