You would think the 2017 IGP Cotes du Brian La 50/50 might be called La 33/33/33, given that it's equal proportions of Carignan, Grenache and Syrah. All aged in stainless steel, this medium-bodied effort is a bit edgier than some of the other offerings in this stable, with tart red raspberries, bright acids and a long, crisp finish.

About the producer

Jean-Paul Tollot & Anne Gros
Anne Gros is better known for her estate in Vosne-Romanée, as is her partner Jean-Paul Tollot for his family’s Domaine Tollot-Beaut in Chorey-lès-Beaune. Beyond Burgundy, however, the duo makes some impressive wine in Cazelles in the Minervois, working with higher-altitude vineyards.
