Score 87/100 · Robert Parker, Jan 1997
This wine has turned out very well. Deep in color, although by standards here it is not opaque. A rich, fragrant bouquet of spring flowers and broad cherry fruit is intense. Full-bodied, surprisingly concentrated with some tannin to lose, this is an elegantly wrought Beaucastel. Mature now. Last tasted 1/87.
