2018 Arbois Melon a Queue Rouge Cuvee des Docteurs

The 2018 Cuvée des Docteurs Melon à Queue Rouge Ouillé is a Chardonnay from the old biotype with the red stems. It was produced with fruit from 73-year-old vines on gravel soils and a south-facing exposition that delivered a ripe and round wine in a warmish year. It fermented and matured in foudres with indigenous yeasts and was bottled after malolactic. So, it's quite young and undeveloped, fruit-driven, varietal and with a soft texture, with moderate acidity.
