Tasting notes
The 2020 Nebbiolo d'Alba Valmaggiore Sibi et Paucis is a gorgeous wine that is just starting to enter its first plateau of maturity. Sweet red cherry fruit, mint, spice, cedar, pipe tobacco, licorice and dried leaves give the 2020 tons of aromatic nuance. More than anything else, I am quite impressed with the wine's textural depth and presence.

The 2020 Nebbiolo d'Alba Valmaggiore is gorgeous. Crushed red berry, spice, leather, mint and rose petal all grace this exquisite, silky Valmaggiore. The aromatics alone are so beguiling, but all the elements are so nicely balanced. The 2020 is compelling today, but will be even better in another few years.
This wine gives us a first taste of 2020 Nebbiolo fruit. The 2020 Nebbiolo d'Alba Valmaggiore has some extra spice, blood orange and cola from the hot vintage. It ends with dusty smoothness and sweet, earthy sensations.
