Tasting notes
The 2018 Blanc de Blancs La Bolorée has also turned out beautifully, offering up aromas of clear honey, peach, white flowers, crushed mint, orange zest and spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and racy palate that's simultaneously rich and intensely mineral, exhibiting a beautifully fine-boned, elegantly vinous profile and a long, sapid finish.

The 2018 Blanc de Blancs La Bolorée is shockingly open in its first impression. That's deceptive though, as the Bolorée just gets better with considerable aeration, as is quite typical for this wine. Rich and powerful in feel, the Bolorée offers up a palate-staining concoction of white fruit, mint, ginger, apricot and minerals. Soaring, high-toned aromatics reminiscent of eau de vie suggest a touch of volatile acidity, but if it its there, it integrates over time. Once again, La Bolorée is a magical wine. Moreover, it seems to have handled the warmth of the growing season quite well, as it remains fresh, vibrant and pulsing with acidity. Disgorged: 2022.
