There are 10 barrels of Domaine Faiveley's 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Clos des Issarts Monopole, a lovely wine that opens in the glass to reveal aromas of cassis, smoked meats, dark chocolate and earthy forest floor. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with a deep core of succulent fruit, rich and refined tannins and a sapid finish.
