Score 96/100 · Drink 2025-2035, Luis Gutiérrez, Wine Advocate, Sep 2025

The 2020 Chardonnay En Billat displays a bright yellow, almost fluorescent color after aging close to four years in 500-liter barrels. It shows very good tension and everything seems to be in its place. Jocelyn said it was his favorite Chardonnay from 2020 ... until he changed his mind after uncorking the 2020 Les Grands Teppes!! This comes from vines in the village of Grusse, some planted on flat soils in 1990 and others on a slope from 1973, both on marl and schist soils. This terroir, which also delivers a Savagnin and a Pinot Noir, tends to deliver understated whites that are subtle, elegant and clean, with a lot of finesse and with a salty finish. It was bottled in October 2024.
