Saturated garnet. Vibrant, mineral- and spice-accented red fruit preserve, potpourri and vanilla qualities on the intensely aromatic nose. Juicy, alluringly sweet and focused on the palate, offering juicy raspberry, kirsch, cola, spicecake and succulent herb qualities that flesh out with aeration. Finishes extremely long and precise, with polished tannins making a late appearance.

About the producer

Bass Phillip
Bass Phillip has been quietly making world-class Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in Leongatha, South Gippsland, since the 1990s. The estate’s wines were long sold almost exclusively in Australia, meaning that the producer remains relatively little-known beyond its native shores.
