Tasting Notes
The 2020 Morey-Saint-Denis Les Millandes ler Cru has a well-defined bouquet: a mixture of red and black fruit, a hint of sous-bois and truffle, quite classic in style. The palate is medium-bodied with fine structure, grippy and saline, fresh and vibrant, with a lovely sense of balance and poise on the finish. This is a classy offering. Bravo. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.

Powerful black purple, plenty of fruit weight if not yet giving. Perhaps a little sultry. Once again a drier note, from extraction perhaps in this instance. A really significant concentration of fruit though, so this could be a sleeper.
Cask sample. Intense. Weighty palate. Crisp and dense. Dark-fruit character. A little dry on the finish. Typical earthy, meaty Morey. But still retains finesse and elegance.
