Tasting notes
The very fresh nose of red fruit and herbs leads you gently into this cool and lively pinot noir, which starts out quite light, but builds in power and weight as it flows across the palate. Good length. Drink or hold.

The 2019 Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru Les Chaillots is promising, delivering aromas of cassis, plums, petals and sweet soil tones. Medium to full-bodied, layered and velvety, with lively acids and powdery tannins, it's a fine rendition of this site that sits just below the grands crus.

About the producer

The Latour family has been growing vines in Burgundy since at least 1731. Their négociant business – today one of the region’s biggest names – was founded in 1797. Still family-owned today, the company owns 48 hectares of vines, 27 of which are Grand Cru, as well as its own cooperage.
