Tasting notes
Like their Crown Prince 2017, this has an immediate and powerful sense of Pinosity, combining the most gorgeous fruit with smoked meat, black cherry, fresh acid and subtle floral elegance to finish. (RH)

A really beautifully poised pinot that has a very bright, fine and fresh feel, as well as a bold serving of spicy, toasty oak for now. The palate has impressive depth and a sense of concentration at the core. Very focused and very plush with such long flavors. Drink or hold.
About the producer

Bass Phillip has been quietly making world-class Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in Leongatha, South Gippsland, since the 1990s. The estate’s wines were long sold almost exclusively in Australia, meaning that the producer remains relatively little-known beyond its native shores.
