Score 91/100 · Drink 2024-2045, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Jan 2021
Opening in the glass with aromas of sweet berry fruit, raw cocoa, woodsmoke and plums, the 2018 Beaune Village is medium to full-bodied, layered and charming, with an ample core of fruit framed by bright acids and powdery tannins that assert themselves on the youthfully chalky finish. Charming and refined, this will nevertheless merit more patience than the irresistible 2017.
About the producer

Domaine Michel Gaunoux
Domaine Michel Gaunoux is today run by Michel’s grandchildren, Anne and Alexandre, with a guiding hand from their mother. Everything here is extremely traditional, and the family has been quietly making rich, complex and age-worthy Pommard and Corton for over half a century.
