Tasting notes
Screwcapped. Very technically perfect. Finely chiselled and more herbal and grassy than fruity. Nice dry finish. Good ambassador for South African Sauvignon, drinking well now. (JR)

The 2019 First Lady Sauvignon Blanc opens with a soft mineral note on the nose with a fresh, citrus-kissed focus. The palate is clean and crisp with a vibrant yet simple core that delivers pleasure and offers up notes of kiwi, candied lime and lemon drops. Medium-bodied with a straightforward finish, I recommend drinking it with a good chill to the bottle.
About the producer

With vineyards at the foot of the Simonsberg in Stellenbosch, Warwick Estate is one of South Africa’s most established wine producers. The Ratcliffe family converted the farm to viticulture and started making Bordeaux-inspired blends in the 1980s, including its flagship Trilogy.
