Score 93-95/100 · Drink 2023-2045, Neal Martin, Jan 2020

The 2018 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru is matured in 50% new oak. It has a delightful bouquet of crisp citrus fruit, crushed stone, pressed flowers and hints of lemon curd, wonderfully detailed and as fine as some of the more revered exponents of this grand cru. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, and quite weighty for a Chevalier-Montrachet. The lavish, slightly creamy, orange-pith-tinged finish lingers in the mouth. A delicious Chevalier-Montrachet that should give 20-plus years of drinking pleasure.
