The 2017 Arbois Chardonnay la Mailloche was produced with grapes from la Mailloche on Trias clay soils and matured in barrel for two years. The soils tend to give a bitter twist to this wine. The ouillé Chardonnays age for two years in barrel with lees and are leesy and mineral with perfectly integrated oak. It's very tasty, has less alcohol than previous years and finishes with a strong chalky mineral twist. A flinty Chardonnay.
