Bursting with aromas of peach, orange oil and white flowers, the 2018 Chablis 1er Cru Montée de Tonnerre is medium to full-bodied, elegantly textural and charming, with a satiny attack and a tightly wound mid-palate, concluding with a chalky finish.

The 2018 Chablis Montée de Tonnerre 1er Cru shows more structure and power than the other premiers crus in this range. Phenolic and savory, the 2018 is endowed with a real sense of energy and richness. The 2018 was bottled just two weeks before this tasting and is showing some element of angularity. Even so, it is impressive.
