The 2018 Chevalier-Montrachet Les Demoiselles Grand Cru has a delicate bouquet with orange blossom, grilled almond, crushed stone and crushed pebbles. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, fresh and quite phenolic. Sour lemon mixes with orange rind and marmalade. I am not convinced that this is a long-lasting Chevalier-Montrachet, but undeniably it has personality. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2018 white tasting.

Revisited from bottle, the 2018 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru Les Demoiselles (Domaine des Héritiers Jadot) is showing very well, unwinding in the glass with a youthfully reserved and oak-inflected bouquet of citrus oil, white flowers, Anjou pear, toasted almonds and vanilla pod. Full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, with terrific mid-palate amplitude and bright acids, it's long and penetrating, concluding with a mouthwatering, mineral finish. Like all of Jadot's whites, it was bottled under Diam.

The 2018 Chevalier-Montrachet Demoiselles Grand Cru has a gorgeous bouquet with scents of lemon and orange zest, pralines and crushed stone (somehow it reminds me of lemon drizzle cake!) The palate is fresh and taut on the entry, delivering impressive depth, good salinity in the mouth and a spicy, harmonious finish that lingers. There is a lovely crescendo of intensity in this Grand Cru. Superb.
