Score 89/100 · Drink 2018-2025, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Dec 2018

The 2016 Burgenland Blaufränkisch Reserve is floral, bloody, fine and intense on the elegant, fresh and refined nose where ripe, dark fruit and crunchy flinty notes are displayed. Lush and elegant on the palate, this is an elegant, medium-bodied, fresh and authentic 2016 with a lean nature, fine tannins and a peppery and crunchy finish. Not as big and fleshy as it is in normal years, but it is more than respectable. Tasted August 2018.
