Score 87/100 · David Schildknecht, Wine Advocate, Aug 2008

A blend of the three principle Bordeaux varieties, Overgaauw’s 2005 Tria Corda offers generous aromas of black currant, mulberry, peat, tobacco, and tomato foliage, with borderline volatile high tones managing to remain restrained. Richly-endowed on the palate with fruit and smoky, stony characteristics suggestive of minerality, it finishes with a rather stewed fruit character as well as a touch of dryness from alcohol and rusticity of tannin.
