Score 94/100 · Drink 2025-2040, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Mar 2020
Like the 2002 vintage, the 2017 Riesling Smaragd Unendlich is entirely sourced in the Kellerberg (not also in the Loibenberg, as I wrote a year ago). It has 10% raisined berries and displays a clear and concentrated bouquet of ripe and stewed fruit—melons, peaches and mangoes—as well as pumpkin seeds. Dense and massive on the palate, this is a concentrated, rich and tannic Riesling that is completely closed and should be cellared for at least another 5 years. Tasted at the domain in September 2019.
