Score 94-95/100 · Drink 2020-2030, Luis Gutiérrez, Wine Advocate, Dec 2017

One wine offered exclusively in magnum is the 2015 Côtes du Jura Chardonnay Cuvée Marguerite from ungrafted Chardonnay from a very old vineyard that was planted in 1876. Such old plants give extremely low yields, ten hectoliters per hectare in good years, and in challenging vintages, he might get perhaps six hectoliters per hectare (that's 600 liters for you, from an area equivalent to two soccer fields!). As I saw in 2014, it has incredible acidity that made me salivate intensely, but 2015 has more volume than the 2014 and is therefore a little more accessible. This is a bottle to lie down in the cellar. It has a lot more alcohol than in previous years, but it's not noticeable.
