Tasting notes
One of the finest wines to come from the Roussillon is unquestionably the 2016 Côtes du Roussillon Villages Les Trois Marie which is 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah brought up in foudre and barrels (20% being new). It’s a ripe, sexy, full-bodied effort that boasts awesome notes of black raspberries, blackberries, graphite, and pepper herbs, with some floral notes developing with time in the glass. Possessing fabulous concentration, a seamless texture, no hard edges, and a great finish, it’s a legendary Grenache from the Roussillon in the making. Drink it over the coming 15 years or more.

Boasting incredible intensity, the 70-30 Grenache-Syrah 2016 Les Trois Maries is packed with black cherries, chocolate and spice. Full-bodied and rich, the finish is silky and ridiculously long and must be tasted to be believed. There's no heat-derived trace of the wine's 16.2% alcohol; this foudre-aged wine just tastes ripe, round and delicious. Wow!
