Tasting notes
The 2015 Châteauneuf du Pape shows the hallmark elegance of this terrific estate and offers beautiful raspberries, peppery spice, white pepper and violet/floral notes in an ethereal, silky, seamless package. There’s fine-grained tannin lurking under the fruit, and this medium-bodied, incredibly elegant 2015 will drink nicely for 10-12 years.

(raised in a combination of foudres and barriques ) Vivid ruby-red. Spice-accented red berries and fresh flowers on the fragrant nose, lifted by zesty minerality. Pliant raspberry and bitter cherry flavors show very good focus and spread out slowly with air. Smoothly plays depth off vivacity and finishes spicy and long, displaying just a hint of dusty tannins.
Tasted blind. Mid crimson. Peppery, spicy nose. The considerable tannic charge is just ripe enough. This is a success! Confident stuff. Complete and honest. Lots of density. (JR)
