Tasting notes
Golden yellow. Ethereal aromas of grapefruit, honeysuckle and sweet spices pair beautifully with the luscious brown spice botrytis. Succulent, velvety tropical fruit flavors remains delicately sweet and surprisingly light on the palate. With its intense clarity and spiciness on the long, elegant, lively finish, this Trockenbeerenauslese is the third of Keller's outstanding noble late harvest Rieslings from the 2013 vintage. Pale gold. Intense fruit aroma, more quince than apricot. Then perfumed with the finest apricot on the palate but bright with lemon curd too. To die for and unspittable. Such incredible acidity at the core of immense richness and ripe fruit. Only Riesling from a great site with a great grower/winemaker could do this. (JH)
