Tasting notes
A beautifully elegant, pure and airy nose features the cool essence of red cherry together with hints of earth, spice and violet. The highly energetic and intensely mineral-inflected flavors possess outstanding delineation before concluding in a chiseled, moderately firm and youthfully austere finale. This is a lighter weight (though by no means dilute) wine of finesse that is agreeably long, linear and chiseled. This could use a bit more depth but it's really quite pretty the way it is now. I would add that while it should improve over the next few years, it's not so tightly wound that it couldn't be enjoyed now.

The 2017 Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Aigrots is very pretty, wafting from the glass with aromas of red berries, candied peel and dried flowers. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, satiny and succulent, with a juicy core of fruit, open-knit structure and a pure finish.
