The 2015 Grüner Veltliner Smaragd Honivogl Spitzer displays a very clear, complex and elegant bouquet with spicy mineral and herbal as well as flinty and yeasty aromas from the gneiss soils. Full-bodied, round and elegant on the palate, this is a very intense and powerful yet perfectly balanced Veltliner with a lot of grip and structuring tannins. This is a powerful, but also finesse-full Veltliner that needs some years of aging to become as digestible as the GV Rotes Tor Smaragd.
