Tasting notes
The 2016 Vosne Romanee 1er Cru la Croix Rameau was less affected by the frost due to its proximity to the village. It has an attractive, peppermint-tinged bouquet that unfolds in the glass, not powerful or showy, just crisp and precise. The palate is medium-bodied with fine, supple tannin, a crisp line of acidity, gentle and caressing in texture with a silky smooth finish. What this might lack in depth is compensated for in pure unadulterated pinoté.
