Score 93/100 · Drink 2018-2025, Luis Gutiérrez, Wine Advocate, Dec 2017
The sharp, austere and serious 2014 Les Chalasses Vieilles Vignes is produced with Chardonnay from a very old vineyard (planted in 1902). It has a reticent nose redolent of citrus, fennel and white flowers. The palate is sharp, vertical, with very tasty flavors, lifted by great acidity. This is a Chardonnay that's all about finesse and purity, with a super tasty finish, in the sharp and crunchy style of Florine. But you need to be tolerant of acidity. These wines are drinkable now, but they will certainly get better in bottle.
