Score 93-94/100 · Drink 2019-2028, Luis Gutiérrez, Wine Advocate, Dec 2017
Super closed and austere, and from the same terroir as the Cuvée Marguerite, the 2015 Les Chalasses Vieilles Vignes is planted on classical Triassic marl (marnes) soils. It always has the concentration and clout of the old vines, and in 2015 it's specially powerful, yet fresh and balanced, in an XL way. It has pungent acidity and a very tasty finish. It's a textbook example of what the 2015 whites from Ganevat are: a rare combination of incredible power and freshness.
