Score 92-94/100 · Drink 2019-2026, Luis Gutiérrez, Wine Advocate, Dec 2017

The 2015 Grusse en Billat comes from a vineyard planted with Chardonnay in 1960, at 430 meters altitude—the highest altitude of all the vineyards of the domaine—on schist soils that seem to provide a flinty, somehow smoky note. It's very tasty and revealed very good acidity, citrus and almost salty, with pungent, deep flavors. This a naturally powerful wine, amplified by the conditions of the vintage.
