Tasting notes
The Gael is the first J.J. Corry release. It took two years to develop and is impossible not to enjoy. Named Best Irish Blended Whiskey at the Irish Whiskey Awards 2018, it consists of 60% Irish Single Malt between 11 and 26 years old and 40% Single Grain Irish whiskey at 7 years old. Malt Review scored it 10/10, stating: "This whiskey is exactly what they mean when they say that [a good blend should be like an orchestra, where all the elements are working in harmony] except that this symphony is interspersed with some cracking solos... it really does offer all kinds of everything."

Blended from select stocks by Irish whiskey bonder Louise McGuane, this new batch has a fine combination of aromas of lemon, white flowers, lychee, peach, lime, grapefruit peel, white pepper, sliced cucumber, and cold-pressed olive oil. Initially mouth drawing, it has a medium-weight, silky, buttery texture that explores melon, vanilla, pepper, cream-filled doughnuts, and sweet banana, with lemon and nimble spices on the finish.
