Score 90-92/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Aug 2017

(these 61-year-old vines were planted by Laurent Pinson's grandfather): Bright yellow-gold. Yellow peach and flowers on the nose; purer and more precise than the Vaugiraut. Then fatter and thicker in the mouth but with surprisingly racy acidity giving the very ripe yellow fruit flavors a penetrating quality. Finishes with good thrust and firming minerality, and without any dryness or aggressiveness. Ultimately silkier and rounder than the Vaugiraut, demonstrating more finesse.
