Tasting notes
The 2017 Chablis Roncières 1er Cru, perhaps one of the only producers to bottle this vineyard and name it as such, has a very perfumed bouquet with hints of flint, orange zest, cooking apple and even a touch of raspberry ripple. The palate is very well balanced with a taut line of acidity, rather powerful but really well focused with quite a phenolic but not overwhelming finish. Excellent.

The 2017 Chablis 1er Cru Les Roncières hails from a parcel where the vines are planted east-to-west, so its grapes are never exposed to direct sunlight. It's a charming, medium to full-bodied wine, with pretty aromas and flavors of ripe citrus and spring blossom, displaying superb tension and length on the palate. Supple, bright and transparent, it's a lovely example of this lieu-dit within the climat of Les Vaillons.
